My
Story
Background
When I was in secondary school one of my best friends was in to his photography. We used to spend hours in the woods riding bikes and taking photos. While this didn't immediately set me off into the world of photography I realise now that it definitely taught me the power of photographs.
Fast forward to the end of my first year at university and I somehow have some money left at the end of the year and I decide that I'm going to buy a second hand DSLR to take pictures of the mountain biking club I'd joined.
From there I was hooked. I was riding and taking photos of mountain biking pretty much twice a week for the next two years. A broken tibia in my final year of university put hit to the mountain biking but getting out and about on crutches to take photos gave me an escape from working on my dissertation.
Since then my photography has shifted towards recording the great outdoors with much of my photography capturing hikes, camps and trips to the mountains.
I try and take photographs to capture the feeling of the moment, as such they often contain those that I'm with.
But sometimes the power of the view is the feeling and I capture the shots that I want to share with you all.
